FAQs
I’m Siri (not the iPhone kind), the creator behind Melbourne With Siri! I’m a Melbourne-based mum of two little ones, a digital marketing expert, and a content creator with over 15 years of experience in the digital space. When I’m not running around playgrounds, exploring hidden gems, or discovering family-friendly adventures, I’m managing my full-time business, Siri The Agency, where I help businesses with web design and digital marketing.
Melbourne With Siri is my passion project, inspired by my own love for exploring and my mission to help other parents find fun, affordable, and unique things to do with their families in Melbourne and Victoria. I’m all about being authentic, sharing real experiences, and making life a little easier (and more exciting!) for families like mine.
Yes! I personally visit and experience every place I share to ensure my recommendations are genuine, helpful, and honest. I want you to trust that what you see is exactly what you’ll get.
For collaborations or content creation, I do have a rate card available or I can write up a specific media plan with strategy and content goals.
My rates reflect the time it takes to plan, visit, film, edit, and create high-quality, engaging content. If you’re a business interested in working together, feel free to fill out the form on this page.
Note that I also accept gifts or invites in exchange for social media promotions, so if I can combine a visit with my schedule, then a contra deal like this can be made as well without extra payment.
Yes, I occasionally work with businesses on sponsored posts or gifted experiences, but I only collaborate with brands and places I genuinely believe my audience will love.
I’m pretty selective, and if it doesn’t align with my values or audience, I will politely decline. I also disclose all paid partnerships clearly by adding “Invite”, “Ad” or “Paid Partnership” to the post. Note that this shouldn’t hold you back though – you can always reach out because I won’t bite! 🙂
I partner with a variety of businesses that fit my audience’s interests. Some examples include:
- Travel and tourism boards
- Family-friendly events and experiences
- Cafes, restaurants, and food venues
- Parks, attractions, and entertainment hubs
- Outdoor and educational activities
- Wellness and beauty
The types of content I typically create include:
- Things to do around Melbourne
- Free things to do around Melbourne
- Family-friendly places to eat in Melbourne
- Where to stay around Melbourne
With over 15 years of experience in digital marketing* and content creation, I bring a wealth of knowledge to every collaboration. I’ve built a genuine, highly engaged community of parents and people who trust my recommendations.
When you partner with me, you’re not just getting a video or post—you’re getting:
- A marketing strategist
- A videographer, editor, and copywriter
- A professional with a deep understanding of creating impactful content
Every potential partner is carefully selected, and I only work with businesses I truly believe in. You can trust that your story will be told authentically and in a way that connects with your audience.
*Side note: I started my first business at the age of 20 in The Netherlands: a social media agency focusing on content creating, social media management, and workshops. I worked around Europe for various brands and promoting events. I then met my now husband and moved to Melbourne in 2014 where I started working for agencies and as an in-house marketing manager, before having a baby and opening up my own agency in 2020 focusing on web design and online marketing: Siri The Agency.
I offer a range of services to help businesses grow:
- Social media promotion to a highly targeted audience
- Content creation for your own platforms (photos, videos, and captions)
- Public speaking and ambassadorship opportunities
- Coaching and consulting for businesses on digital marketing and social media strategy
- 1:1 trainings for businesses looking to learn about using social media
If you’re interested in working together, reach out to discuss how we can collaborate.
Here’s what you can expect from partnering with Melbourne With Siri:
- Brand awareness: High video views and increased social media following.
- Action: For small businesses, this often means increased foot traffic or enquiries and sales/bookings within 1–3 weeks of the content going live (depending on reach).
- Credibility: A trusted recommendation from someone who has built genuine relationships with their audience.
- High-quality content: A professional, engaging piece of content that highlights your business and encourages shares and saves.
My rates vary depending on the scope of the project, including deliverables, creative requirements, and time involved. You can request a media plan for more details about pricing and packages.
Payment is required once the draft has been approved and before the content goes live.
Firstly, because I am quite selective, this has never happened, ha! But if I don’t enjoy the experience or don’t feel it’s suitable for my audience, I will:
- Provide you with feedback on why it didn’t meet expectations.
- Reimburse the cost of the experience.
- End the partnership—no content will be published, and no payment will be required.
I only promote experiences I truly love and believe in, and I’ll always provide constructive feedback privately to help your business improve where needed.
I will always tag you and/or invite you as a collaborator to my posts.
Further content usage rights are not included unless specifically agreed upon beforehand. If you’d like to use the photos or videos I create, we can discuss licensing or additional fees for sharing on your platforms.
While family-friendly activities, places, and events are definitely my main focus, I do occasionally share experiences that aren’t strictly for kids. Think fun date night ideas, wellness spots for some much-needed me-time, pampering sessions for mums, or even a relaxing spa day with friends. My goal is to inspire parents to not only make amazing memories with their kids but to also take time for themselves and enjoy all that Melbourne has to offer!
If you’re a business, you can reach out to me via email, DM, or through the contact form on this page. Please note that I carefully plan visits around my busy schedule (running my other business, Siri The Agency, and parenting two young kids!), so there may be a short wait time. However, I always try to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible.
Most of my content focuses on Melbourne and the surrounding suburbs, but I also share fun family-friendly places and activities around Victoria, especially for day trips and weekend adventures.
That being said, we do go on holidays too, and I’ve recently shared content in the Sunshine Coast that performed really well as well! So who knows what’s next 🙂
Absolutely, this is my best-performing content! I love highlighting budget-friendly or free things to do. Family outings don’t have to break the bank, and I’m always on the lookout for fun, affordable adventures that everyone can enjoy.
I am very direct, straight-up and no BS (that’s the Dutch in me). I never recommend anything I don’t truly believe in, and I’ve turned down opportunities that don’t align with my values. Whether I’ve paid for the experience or it’s been gifted, I’m always upfront and transparent in my posts and with my audience.
Editorial policy
Trust is everything to me. I’m here to share honest, authentic recommendations that I genuinely believe will make (family) adventures in Melbourne amazing.
I personally visit every location or experience I recommend so I can give you real, helpful insights and tips. All opinions expressed in my content are 100% honest and genuine. I never recommend anything I don’t believe in, and I’m not afraid to turn down (paid) partnerships that don’t align with my values or my audience’s interests. Staying selective and true to my word is more important to me than accepting opportunities that compromise my authenticity.
If I’ve been engaged for a paid partnership or gifted an experience, I will always disclose this by clearly stating “Invite”, “Ad” or using the Paid Partnership label.
For all other content, I personally fund the the visit or experience with my own money. Transparency is non-negotiable – it’s how I continue to build a trusted, meaningful connection with my community.
As a mum of two little ones, juggling daycare, kinder, and my other full-time business (Siri The Agency), I carefully plan all my visits around our busy schedule. There may be a short wait for me to get to your spot, but I always try to fit everyone in as soon as I can because I know how eager you are to share your story with the world!
